Gas prices jump, but good news expected

CNN -- (CNN) -- Gas prices have jumped again nationwide, according to a survey published Sunday.

The average price for a gallon of regular is now $3.76 -- up nearly seven cents from two weeks ago, the Lundberg Survey found.

The increase is substantially smaller than in the previous two weeks, when the price jumped nearly 19 cents a gallon.

"Higher crude oil and higher ethanol prices have worked their way into the pump," said publisher Trilby Lundberg.

But gasoline use generally tapers off with cooler weather, as fewer people take to the roads for trips. So in September, demand will probably fall.

"So if there is no oil or gasoline supply cut, then there's a very good chance that we've seen the end of the pump price hikes," Lundberg said.

GOOD NEWS EXPECTED? Gas prices go up fast and come down slow.
'Coming out of the closet' Barry's lousy, smoke and mirrors, lack of jobs, dog and pony show and in the crapper economy, the good paying jobs are Not here. Barry's economy is not improving but continues to hurt the population and the job numbers continues to be down – no matter how smoooooth talking Barry spins those numbers and he can spin them very well! People will still drive and buy fuel no matter what but it sure helps to have a job too!
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

So the speculators have managed to run up prices for the Labor Day weekend. No big surprise there.
