Where does the state of Florida fall in this poll? Give the working stiffs (me) a break! How about $1.00 per gallon gas, & NO GAS TAXES???

in des moines, prices change often and sometimes sharply. it is not uncommon to see a 10¢ spike or 5¢ drop in prices from day to day. lately we have had to endure spikes, with only a 2¢ decrease.

Minnesota has jacked up prices compared to other states. Gas here goes up 25 cents most weeks only to start dropping penny by penny a day or two later.

One reason I believe the prices are quite volatile in Washington and Oregon (not mentioned) is due to the high number of Canadians aka Cross Border shoppers. They fill up their trunks with jerry cans and gas up in Washington and Oregon while getting grociers, all within their duty free exemption. Everyone including the state is make a killing in this regard. When prices go up the state get more of a profit from the taxes their collecting. Unfortunately, it's the locals that suffer but at the same time, it's the Canadians that actually keep the locals employed.

Cheapest gas in the Nation is one reason I visit SC. Don't go for the MIL. I always carry enough gas to avoid CT. Worst State for gas on the East Coast. Glad to have my opinion confirmed

Hawai'i prices can be considered anything but volatile. Prices are perennially high.

I used to live in SC. It was good to see low prices even lower than Texas a gas producing state. Why is it so cheep?

Gasbuddy needs to do a better job of changing out these articles and making them more relevant to gas prices. This one is relevant to gas prices but is old news. The article prior to this one is about bridge building in Tennessee. If you look at the "submitted news" section of this site, there are much better articles that should make their way to the top five articles listed on this board.

Regular was going down, down here in south Florida...now in a week up about a dime. Unreal! Regular much more unsteady than mid or premium.
